Gas Filled Cells
We offer atomic cells made of S-52 electrovacuum molybdenum glass and Simax borosilicate glass. Both have a low coefficient of thermal expansion. During manufacture, all cells undergo chemical cleaning and vacuum degassing at a temperature of 350°C to remove the pollutants dissolved in the glass. The filling of the cells with alkali metals and buffer gases occurs at a pressure of residual gases in a vacuum chamber of 10–7Torr. All cells are helium leak checked and can be filled up:
Molybdenum glass C-52. Cells are made of cylindrical glass tubes with a diameter of 20mm. The length of the cells is specified when ordering. It is possible to manufacture spherical cells of the required diameter. |
